# Troubleshooting

## Update to latest Adobe applications

**Motion (M⁴)** is compatible with any workstation with hardware that can run <mark style="color:blue;">**Adobe After Effects CC 2020, 2021, 2022 or later**</mark>**.**  If you are running an older version of After Effects, please update the progra&#x6D;**.**

## Adobe 2024 Update

If you've recently updated to AE 2024 and are experiencing issues, you can try the following:

1. First, make sure to use our .*exe or .pkg* installer. This will ensure that old extension versions are properly cleaned up.
2. If on Windows, and the Motion 4 panel is not displaying, try running After Effects as an Admin by right-clicking the app, and choosing "Run as Administrator". You should only have to do this once.&#x20;
3. If you're still experiencing issues, you can try a ZXP installer. We recommend <https://install.anastasiy.com/>, as it has full support for Adobe 2024 applications. Other ZXP installers do not support 2024 as of this writing.

## Update to the latest Motion package

Most issues are solved with a fresh install, and / or[ removing the configuration data](https://motion.mtmograph.com/additional-resources/troubleshooting/clear-configuration-data).
